Election Management
Some of you have most likely noticed, we have a brand new area in AMO – Election Management.
You will be able to now create elections within AMO and have them appear in the Member Center for your members to Vote for the various Association Elections, we hope you find this area useful!

Hard Bounce Email Management
We’ve been working with our e-mail provider to battle the efforts of spam, ensuring that the AMO e-mail server is compliant with current security standards, and making sure that your e-mails are delivered properly.
We will now display a message at the top of your AMO dashboard with a listing of e-mail addresses that have bounced messages sent to them (not delivered to the recipient’s inbox). There are several reasons that an email might have bounced. Some example reasons might include:
- The recipient’s e-mail provider is blocking the e-mail at the server due to e-mail security or spam policies
- The intended email address doesn’t exist (e.g. a typo in the email address, or the address has been deleted on the receiver’s end).
- The email address you used as the “From” address is on the recipient’s Rejected / Block List (or their server’s block list).
Running the Bounced Email Report by going to Member Management -> Reports -> Bounced Email Report and looking at column H in the Excel spreadsheet can give you some insight into why the recipient’s system rejected the email. Some are more helpful than others, but it can definitely help point to the right reasons.
If you’re confident that the address is correct, the next steps would be to have that recipient reach out to their email provider (or office IT team) and ask for help in determining why the messages are being blocked. Sending them the information from the report above is very helpful.

There is a new report located at Member Management>Report>Bounced Email Download.
To clear the Bounced Emails please see screenshots below –
E-mail Preview Message FROM Address Change
E-mail providers are tightening security policies and some people may have been noticing an issue with receiving their E-mail Preview messages to their inbox, this is due to e-mail policies that restrict sending an e-mail to yourself from a SaaS platform like AMO.
We have changed the FROM e-mail address only for the E-mail Preview’s to info@associationsonline.com to ensure that e-mail previews are delivered properly.
This will NOT affect the actual e-mail sent to your members, that will still use the FROM address you specify during the E-mail Message creation process.
General Scheduled Messaging Improvements
We recently added a scheduled messaging system to our Member Management > Messaging area, we have released some further updates to make this work closer to the Event Management Scheduled Messaging system, previously the scheduled interface only appeared when selecting a Segment.
This is now more upfront and easier to see the Scheduled functionality in the Member Management > Messaging area

Member Management Messaging Custom Fields Box Relocated
We have now moved the “Include Custom Fields for this Segment” to the top of the Messaging area for a better UX experience when the interface reloads.

Add to Event Calendar Updates
We have now re-added the Add to Event Calendar functionality now with an Add to Google Calendar option along with the iCal format for your members to easily add Events to their Calendars.
You can re-enable this feature in the Association Home > General Information > Sites Controls > Miscellaneous tab

Added Replicate Event Function to Event Grid
You can now replicate an Existing Event with the Copy icon in the Events list area with the familiar Copy icon

Archive Dues Types Functionality
We have now added functionality to hide old / archived Dues Types to help keep the Dues Type’s area cleaner and ensure that nothing is deleted for the historical information attached to invoices.
You’ll find a new toggle for Archived Dues Types and within the Dues Type > General Information Area

Allow Both Individual & Organization Member Type Updates For Dues Notifications/Send Dues Deactivation Fields
In the Dues Notification > Deactivation Fields for Organization Dues Notifications you will now find the “Set Individual Member Types To This Value When Executed” drop-down – this to ensure for Organization Membership’s the Individual’s also get appropriate Member Types Assigned if using the Deactivation Fields System.
If you’re unfamiliar about the Deactivation Fields area please reach out to help@amohq.com as that area can potentially change quite a bit of Member Data.
Added Partially Paid Criteria to Event Report Options
In the Events > Reports Tab we have now added a new filter for “Partial” Balances for Event Attendees
