New AMO Knowledge Base

Our team has been working hard on updating existing support articles and creating new ones, and we’ve recently released a fully built-out Knowledge Base contained within AMO itself. We’re excited to keep expanding this functionality, and this is our first phase of a new Knowledge Base & Support System.

New Event Invoice Payment Link

We have now released the ability to send a generated Payment URL to Event Attendees who still have an open balance; this will help those who let members/non-members receive invoices for the Event and then have the ability to send them this link to complete payment.

New Dues Payments Links

Some of those may recall when we added Invoice Payment Links to our Dues Notification System – we have now expanded this feature to allow you to generate a Payment URL directly in the Individual & Organization Dues History areas, you can find this new functionality here:

Grace Period by Member Type Functionality

We’re excited to announce a big improvement to our Grace Period system located in Dues Management > Grace Period
Previously the Grace period was a global setting across all Members, with this new interface and functionality you now have the ability to set a different grace period based on the Member Type.

Merge Tags Added to Payment Messages

We have now added the ability to include Merge Tags in the Dues Management > Payment Messages area – this new functionality now allows you to add dynamic information to the e-mails that are generated from when Members join & renew.

Accessibility Updates

As AMO evolves, we’re continuing to strive to make sure that our system is as accessible as possible for everyone; we have now added the updates below to help accommodate members who utilize accessibility software to help them browse the internet. We’re grateful to the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) for their feedback regarding accessibility. Thank you, NCIL!

• Updated Home hamburger menu.  This should now read “Home” instead of “Link”
• Updated Member Center hamburger menu.  This should now read “Member Center Home” instead of “Link”
• Updated Member Center button so the button alts should now read “Button For …” to eliminate the duplication of the button alt and the button text
• Updated Group Area hamburger menu.  This should now read “Group Menu” instead of “Link”
• Moved Group Area hamburger menu to the right next to the Group Name title in the panel header to eliminate the “stacked” hamburger menus
• Added further consistent labels for the Group areas panel header.  Should now read “Group Name:  Group Area”

Member Center UI Updates

We’ve made several UI updates to help organize the Custom Fields system for members, New Group Descriptions, and some loading screen updates when a financial transaction is processing.

My Account Area – You will now see the Custom Fields information listed here with the Custom Field Categories and displayed with a new tabbed interface.

This will help organize this area for those that have a large number of Custom Fields displayed.

In the Groups we’ve added a New Condensed Group Description Area, you can add information to this area and this will then be displayed on the main Groups Page.

This description will appear on the Member Center > Groups Area

Transaction Screen UI Updates

We’ve implemented some new changes to the UI on the transaction screens to help prevent duplicate charges and members from refreshing the browser when processing a transaction.

The animation for the transaction screen has now been updated to a new colorful icon and enlarged for better visibility.

The text in this area below has now been condensed, highlighted better, and moved above the Submit button.

New Merge Tags

We’ve now added new Merge Tags across our Merge Tag system in AMO.

• Merge Tag for Individual Internal Association ID
• Merge Tags for Individual Address Fields
• Merge Tags for Organization Address Fields

General Invoice Custom Footer Option

You can now change the PDF Footer Content for the General Invoicing system – (Similar to the Dues Management > Payment Messages area for Dues Invoice Footers)

Added Salutation & Suffix to Bio Pages

We have now added Salutation & Suffix to the Individual Member Biography Pages via Member Directories.

Added AMO Individual ID to the Event Attendees Grid Interface

The Event Attendee interface has now been updated to include Individual ID’s if the Attendee is a Member.

Ability to Archive Messaging Drafts

You will now find the ability to Archive a messaging draft, if you edit an existing Messaging Draft you will now see a toggle for this.

Self Reporting Education Updates

For those using our “Self Reported Education” system, we moved that area to “My Continuing Education” in the Member Center in our last update.

We have added some further functionality to this system. You can upload a file when creating an education credit, date filter selections, and total credit summaries as well directly in the interface.

Guest Application New Membership Application Notification

The guest application system has now been updated to include a notification to the AMO Admin if configured in the Dues Management > Membership Applications area.

Multiple Individual Invoices Payment via Due Contact Admin Functionality

We have now added functionality for the Dues Contact Admin area to allow the ability to have an Organization Bulk Pay multiple Individual Invoices for those that have invoices while still attached to an Organizational Membership.

Event Course – Add QR Link to course upload functionality

We have now expanded the functionality of our Courses > Import Course Attendees systems to allow the ability to upload attendees based on the QR link that was scanned from the Attendee’s generated QR Codes.

Event Description Short Code Updates

We have now added some AMO Short codes to the Event Content / Event Description area.

Primary Contact Add Individual Functionality Exclude Member Types

We have now expanded some functionality for those that use the “Primary Contact Add Individual Functionality” setting in AMO. If you have this setting turned on for your Organizational Memberships; You will now find an Excluded Member Type area in the Member Management > Member Types area.

AMO Quality of Life Updates / Fixes

PWA Attendee URL Merge Tag Fix

We’ve now by default added “&init=true” to the PWA Non-Member Attendee URL Merge Tag to help ensure that they are served a new link and doesn’t interfere with any past PWA Events they attended.

Event Registration New Members Application Bug

If you have the “Suppress Organizations on Member Application” setting turned on in AMO – the process for when a New Member joins through the Event Registration system will now recognize this setting and suppress the Organizations screen.

Custom 404 Error Updates

Finally, We added some further information to 404 pages to help troubleshoot situations where these occur in AMO.
