SEO and Keywords: What’s the relationship?
To break it down, let’s review the definition keyword and SEO. Keywords are “the words that your customers are typing into Google and other search engines to find what they are looking for (your stuff),” says Jerod Greenison, digital strategist at ArcStone. SEO, search engine optimization, is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results.
Ideally, you want your strategy to look like the end of the x-axis by all of the spooky ghost emojis. Though not as many users are searching for your keyword, the ones that are are finding relevant content.
Now that you know, how do you improve?
Getting your site to rank higher on search engines takes some testing. For example, if you’re a healthcare association, rather than just using the keyword “healthcare association”, try “medical device healthcare association” or “nursing home healthcare association” or “Canadian healthcare association”. This more specific you can be, the more you’ll be found by the right people.
