We have compiled a list of commonly asked questions for you to make an informed decision and to share how others are using AMO to streamline their operations.


QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q: Is there a way for members maintain their own address, telephone and e-mail information?
A: Yes. You can choose to permit your members to update their own information. AMO also provides a means for you to periodically remind members to review and update their personal information.

Q: Is our data secure if it is hosted by AMO?
A: Yes. There are several ways your data is secure: 1) All data is encrypted. 2) Data is maintained at a state-of-the art secure facility. 3) Data is backed up nightly. 4) Our server drives are redundant. If a drive ever goes down, another automatically takes over. 5) It is your data. AMO will never, ever, share or sell your data or contact your members.

Q: Does AMO offer reports and online queries?
A: Yes. Data can be viewed online and printed. AMO offers extensive selection criteria and report format options.

Q: Our non-profit has various types of events for its members. Can I use AMO to create those events and allow our members to register for them online?
A: Yes. AMO provides an easy and intuitive way for you to setup events. You decide, with each event, whether members can register online.

Q: My club has monthly events that have more than one activity. Can I use AMO to manage these events and activities?
A: Yes. AMO's Event functionality can easily accommodate events that have multiple activities.

Q: Is there a way for guests register for our events?
A: Yes. Activities within events in AMO can be setup to permit guests to register for them.

Q: Does AMO allow us to set the maximum numbers of registrations for events and control the registration start date and end dates for events and activities?
A: Yes. All of these options are easy to setup so you can control your events and activities.

Q: Can we permit account, cash, check, and/or credit card processing for event registrations?
A: Yes. You can easily do any or "all of the above" with AMO.

Q: Some of our members have email and others don't. Is there an easy way we could send our monthly newsletter in an efficient manner?
A: Yes. AMO knows which members prefer email, and which don't. Your newsletter can be sent as an attachment to a broadcast message for those who prefer email and address labels can and/or mail-merged letters can be printed through AMO for those who prefer US Mail.

Q: We have a large membership. Can we group members by interests, committees, or other categories for reporting, broadcast email, and other purposes?
A: Yes. AMO allows non-profits to easily create the committee and other category groups. The administrators of the organization can set as many or as few of these as they would like to use to define their member's groups. These values can then be used as selection criteria for reports, online queries, and broadcast messages.

Q: Does AMO have a bulletin board feature?
A: Yes. The AMO Forum module allows members to easily discuss any number of subjects. The Forum also provides "listserv" email notification option to members participating in the Forum that another member has entered a comment.

Q: Can AMO be integrated with our website?
A: Yes. AMO and its parent organization, ArcStone Information Services, LLC, can assist your organization with the most basic to the most complex integration. AMO provides an easy to use content editor that will allow virtually anyone in your organization to easily create HTML content for your website with no programming necessary.

Q: Can we track and reach event guests for mailings?
A: Yes. Guest data is maintained in AMO for future use. Many of AMO's clients use this information to promote membership.

Q: Can we copy and paste items from Word or other documents into our broadcast messages in AMO?
A. In most cases, yes. Our customers sometimes find it easier to create content in another program and copy and paste it into AMO's content editor to create HTML content.

Q. Can AMO host our website and provide us with email services?
A. Yes. AMO and its parent company, ArcStone Information Services, LLC, offer a full-range of services to our customers from custom internet applications to search engine optimization.

Q. Our non-profit does not have a large budget for training and implementation. How can our AMO implementation be accomplished efficiently?
A. AMO & ArcStone Information Services, LLC have developed many time-saving tools to make your implementation run smoothly and efficiently. We also utilize web-based training to minimize travel time and expenses.

Q. Can we download AMO data for analysis, special reporting, or import into our accounting system?
A. Yes. In fact, many AMO customers download data directly into Excel.

Q. Members will sometimes take leaves of absence or otherwise become inactive. Can we keep them in our database, but limit their access?
A. Yes. Member records can be set to "inactive". This will maintain their data in AMO for mailings and other uses.
