AMO Q1 Updates: Launching Beta Admin + Product Updates

AMO Product Updates

AMO Q1 Product Update

Happy spring! Q1 has been an exciting time for AMO. At the start of the year, our team circled up to draft the next product updates – some that many of you had been asking for and others we saw necessary to keep AMO relevant, up-to-date and most importantly, functional for you. There were so many great ideas in the mix that setting priorities was a bit challenging; after many team discussions and feedback from you, we were able to set goals for the new year – the largest being a new AMO website, launch of the beta admin interface, and the development of a mobile event app.

AMO Admin Interface

Since we’re almost through Q1, we thought we’d fill you in on some updates we’ll be pushing this week!

Admin Area Update

As most of you know, the admin interface was updated in early January. We sent out an email with the details on the new admin interface along with other product updates around that time as well. If you didn’t have a chance to read that email, check it out here.

As promised, we will be converting the “beta interface” to the primary interface this Wednesday, March 15th. If you haven’t had time to explore the new interface and have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

New Product Updates

As we push the “beta” interface to the primary interface, we’ll also be releasing a few other updates. These updates (many of which you requested) are necessary to improve AMO’s functionality and stay up-to-date.

1) Change labeling of “Individual” and “Organization” in member management

This feature gives you the ability to change the labels “individual” and “organization” within member management to whatever you’d like. Some associations prefer “household” or “company” rather than the pre-selected options. You can edit these labels under the Association Home module.

2) Ability to reassign contacts for organization invoices

Some organizations using AMO go through frequent changes in leadership. To ease this transition admins now have the ability to reassign a dues contacts to the organization’s invoices.

3) Add required option to form questions

Many of you collect additional data from your members using our forms tool. This new feature will allow you to make specific fields required to ensure you gather essential data.

4) Maximum uses of priority codes in event registration

Many of you use priority codes to give special discounts to certain members. This update allows you to set maximum uses of that specific code.

5) New AMO demo template

We’ve redesigned our demo template so new users can quickly spin up a professional site without the hassle of starting a design from scratch. This new template includes layouts for pages like the homepage, about, membership, events, announcements and contact us. Insert content and images and you’re ready to go! If you’re a new user, check out the template in the website management module.

6) Implementation interface

This page acts as a checklist when setting up your new AMO account. It will lay out the steps for proper implementation like importing data, setting up new administrative users, configuring your financial settings, accessing DNS information and anything else that needs to be done before we launch.

7) Refer a Friend to AMO

If you love AMO, tell your friends and get rewarded! We are now offering $25 Amazon gift cards to both you and a friend when they sign up as an AMO user. Find the “Refer a Friend” form under Association Home.

We’re so excited about all the updates coming your way! As always, if you have questions or concerns, reach out to us at hello@amohq.com or give us a call at 866-381-9951.
